During my blogging journey, I get a lot of things, both good things and bitter things. I took that as a good thing because I get something (either knowledge or money) that makes me love blogging even more.
And I consider it as bitter things because it makes me disappointed in some aspects. Although I consider it like that, but still, I get some lessons from it.
After going through all kinds of obstacles and hurdles, I finally found that there are 5 crucial tips that will make your blog successful. I will explain everything here.
Although I say it as crucial tips, it does not mean you will be successful as a blogger in the near future. Blogging takes patience, consistency, commitment and hard work. It is set in stone!
Here they are top 5 crucial tips that will make your blog successful for sure:
1. Blog About What You Love
You will not go anywhere if you choose a niche that you don’t love at all. The first thing you should do is; blog about what you love.
Just like when you love someone, you must be willing to sacrifice to do anything so that your loved ones can be happy, right? As well as blogging.
The fact is blogging is not an easy work even if you love your niche. Can you imagine what kind of misery you’re going through if you don’t love your niche?

By starting a blog, you should be ready with all the challenges and obstacles you must face. I’m sure you would be able to overcome everything gladly if you love your blog and your niche.
My little advice to you is; do not start blogging for money!
If you start blogging for money, I can assure that you will be tired by yourself. But, if you follow your passion, the money will come by itself.
2. Take Advantage of Social Media
If you want to build a successful blog, then social media sites are your best friend.
Almost everyone in this world has social media accounts, whether it Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn, Instagram and others. You can certainly see great potential behind this fact, right?
3. Follow And Comment On Other Blogs
One way to survive and succeed in the blogosphere is you have to build relationships with other bloggers. And one way to build relationships with them is by commenting on their blogs.
Find professional bloggers who have given a lot of influence on the blogosphere and follow their blogs. If possible, leave valuable comments on their articles and build good relationships with them.
If you do that consistently, your online presence will be stronger, your name will be embedded in the minds of people and it will increase visitors to your blog, you’ll even get return visitors as well.
My little advice for you: take a few minutes of your time to do blog commenting, you can start with 5 comments per day (sometimes I do 10 comments per day).
Do that continuously without being bored. Well, I must admit, it was boring, but trust me, you will see amazing results immediately.
Your blog traffic will increase for sure, your online presence will be stronger and you will get more followers (it’s a small bonus for your efforts though).
4. Don’t Stress Over Numbers
There are many bloggers who are always checking their blog stats. It would not be a problem if you only occasionally do that. That would be a problem when you check it any time.
Well, I understand that you want to see the progress of your blog. But, it would be bad for you if you get the results much different from your expectations.
Remember, numbers are not your goal (should not be your goal) to start a blog.
It was just a parameter that will make you careless. It would be far wiser if you continue to do the best 3 tips above.
When the time comes, you will be surprised with the results you get without you even knowing.
Don’t blogging for numbers, it’s not a cool reason. Start blogging because it is your passion, because you enjoy writing, because you want to expand your online business, and because for another cool reasons.
5. Never Give Up
I know this is only sweet words for you. But, I think this is very appropriate words for this topic.
There are no great things happen in this world that was created by someone who gave up easily. I’m sure you know some examples for it.
To confirm it to you, please check the image below and take some lessons from it.
It’s a great booster, isn’t it? 😉
As a blogger, you are bound to run into many problems and obstacles that will make you start thinking to quit blogging. That’s reasonable though, I also experienced difficult times, too.
But, it’s not important at this time. The important thing now is how high you bounce after experiencing those bitter things.
If you look carefully, you will realize that any tough times that happens to you, it teaches you something and it wants you to grow.
You should be grateful to get those times, it’s one of the signs that you are not an ordinary person. Well, a skilled sailor will not show up from the calm sea, right? 🙂
Never stop trying. Never stop believing. Never give up. Your day will come!
